Hodgson Collection. Prior to accessioning, the number 74 was printed in white ink on the bowl. Note from Hodgson's Smoke Rings book: "Joe Kubicek brought this one at Campeigne, France where the armistice was signed at the end of World War I. Joe was there with a group of returned German prisoners he had helped escort from his country back to their devastated home land."
