Trunk. Material: leather, metal. Size: 17" W. x 30" L. x 17" H. 17". Description: brown textured leather; two leather binding straps; metal hardware and locks.
Brought to Waseca County from a home in Vermont called "The Hold", by E. P. Latham, father of Jean Latham (Mrs. Fred Day) in 1867. The Hold was built around the time of American Revolution and was still standing in 1958 and still in the Latham family. Jean Latham Day was a founder and charter member of the Waseca County Historical Society.
