Description: rainbow colored striped ribbon (purple, blue, green, yellow, orange and red) wrapped around gold toned metal bar - ribbon suspended from bar - reverse side: rotator safety catch - two bronze bars pinned across ribbon - one bar printed with: "Meuse-Argonne" and the other with:"Defensive Sector"-bottom of ribbon slips through ring at medallion bottom - obverse medallion: winged woman holding shield and sword; reverse medallion: eagle over shield with lettering: :The Great War For Civilization"; printed on left side: "France Italy Serbia Japan Montenegro Russia Greece"; lettering on right side: "Great Britain Belgium Brazil Portugal Romania China" - six stars along bottom.
Waseca County Military WWI. Victory Medal was given to all who served the United States between 1917-1919. The bronze bars pinned across the ribbon signify that Bronze Stars were earned in those battles.
