World War I Army Uniform Spats. (a,b) Material: textile, metal, leather. Size: 4 3/4" W. x 12 1/4" L. (open). Description: gray felted wool wrap with a 6 3/4" L. leather strap sewn to spat hem; four button holes and a silver tone buckle at one end, four black and gray celluloid buttons at other end; gray fabric lining. U.S. Army Uniform, 6.86.1-8.
Waseca County Military - WWI. Worn by Frank Cahill of Janesville. He entered the U.S. Army in November of 1917. Private Cahill was a member of the 52nd Ammunition Train.
