Garters. Material: textile. Size: 43" L. Description: black, yellow, green, pink and blue yarn pattern woven with white background - 16" L.; maroon braided yarn fringe.
Native American Artifact. Garters made by a Western Great Lake Indian group, probably Ojibwa. Garters were worn just below the knees. (The Ojibwa were one of the few groups to use black beads to a large extent. 59.83.1 a Currently displayed in the flat exhibit case located on the museum balcony timeline.
