Norwegian Emigration Trunk. Material: wood and metal. Size: 11" W. x 18" L. x 12" H. Description: blue-washed pine, handcrafted; dome-topped; decorative metal reinforcement on edges; small compartment inside on left; metal carrying straps; white decorative painting and rosmaling on front: "1838" and letters similar to:"Chlmis Rmior".

One note gives donor credit to Mr and Mrs. Larson; the other credits Knute Osmundson. Trunk brought from Norway by the Larsons.
