Photograph Reproduction
Original photographs can be reproduced by digital capture or by copy negative. One method works better with some originals than the other. In many cases high-resolution digital capture has produced better results in old faded photographs where contrast can be easily increased. Traditionally, a copy negative is made from the original print. You may order as many prints as you wish, but WCHS retains the copy negative. All prints are made using the finest quality photo papers.

Order a CD: Digital Captures (scans) may be emailed if the total mg size of the order can be accommodated by your computer and email program. With high-resolution scans, we can burn a CD with your order and mail that to you upon receipt of payment. Please add $3.50 for postage & handling for this option.

Please write or email a request with the Accession Number of the image or document record you want. It is located toward the top of the individual record page (Example: 97.00.5 or 1.00.78a). Accession numbers preceded with "LU" are scans only - the society does not own that image.
